AUX fan question.

Hi all. The other morning when going to work started the car up and low washer fluid light on so pulled the bonnet engine still running and noticed aux fan kicked in wen I shut the bonnet fan stopped so tried again and same thing happened. So does this mean its the start of a problem as I have never heard this fan run before many thanks Paul.
