New here so apologies if I’m going over old ground....
First time with a Passat. Only had the car a few weeks so still finding my way round it. Initially it all seems good enough. Bit knocked about but nothing major that a bit of time and effort won’t rectify.
The remote flashes red when I press the buttons but nothing happens on the locks. Put the key in the drivers lock and it feels like the barrel is shot. Turns round in both directions a couple of times. Sometimes it will unlock the doors but will also roll down all windows
. IF I lock and unlock via the bootlid, the front doors lock and unlock ok with no movement of the windows. But the boot won’t lock Any ideas? New batteries in the key fob? I think a new drivers door barrel perhaps? And have a look at the unit under the moulding on the passenger side floor maybe?
I’ll be posting about running issues but all in good time....
