New legal bulbs.

I`ve read through lots of posts on here about bulbs and basically I`m no wiser.I`m looking for an upgrade to my standard bulbs that require no extra parts or fittings.Just a straightforward swap.
I`d like them to be as white as possible and my MOT is due soon,so they need to be legal as well.
Can anyone help me out?
