What BHP/Engine

HI after some advice

Im working away and got my old man going to look at a Passat Trendline Estate, 2005, 2.0 Petrol tomorrow.

What should he look out for?
How do I find out what engine/BPH is in the car? ive asked the owner he didn't know.
its had belts etc done at 95k currently sitting at 130k

Pros / cans would be grateful also
