Bleeding Clutch Issues!

Post by big poppa »

Hello,

I'm hoping some kind board member(s) can shed some light on my Hydraulic issue.

My Passat is a B5 1.9 TDI 115 Bhp, estate, 5 speed, SE spec, 156k miles on 1999/V plate.

Recently, I had a clutch/DMF replaced by a mate which went okay. Although, now has a clutch pedal problem - if pedal is pressed it stays on the floor.

Matey boy, has used an easy bleeder device to no avail. He mentioned that he thought it probably due to clutch pedal master cylinder, needing replacement - so i bought one from a local supplier.

But, now he thinks that the brake fluid reservoir is faulty.

Has anyone expereinced similar issues?

Any guidance would be most welcome.

Thanks
Ken
