Seized locking nut problem

Post by vim147 »

Took my car in for MOT and failed on CV boot. Garage couldn't get the wheel off to fit new boot as the locking wheel nut is damaged and also the key is damaged due to trying to get the wheel off.

Seems like all the locking nuts on each wheel are seized. Could pay for a new key @ £100 but theres no guaranteed it would work if its too tightly seized, would be better off putting in non-locking nuts.

What are my options ? getting it drilled out ? Anyone else had this problem ? Costs ?
