Problem with 2.7TDI Engine

This is a problem with a 2006 Audi A4 2.7TDi
The car has cut out twice in the past few months whilst driving and coil lights flashing. When I've managed to pull over and try to start up, the car starts then cuts out after 2-3 seconds. After 5-10 minutes I try again and then it works fine.
I've done a scan with a £5 bluetooth adaptor and Torquee app on my phone but it doesn't bring up any codes.
After googling and watching youtube, it could be High pressure fuel pump ?
Anyone have any thoughts on this ? am taking the car into a garage next week.
