A climbing temp gauge on a really steep hill

Post by dentist69 »

Not sure if this could be related to my other thread where i reported a loss of heat but temp gauge climbed above the 90 and got a smell of burning when a climbed a really steep hill yesterday but cannot say if I had any loss of heat or not as i did not have it on.

I stopped engine and rolled car to the side of the road (i was near the top by this point luckily) waited few mins started engine again and not had any problems since. Hill was a 2nd and 3rd gear job but mainly 2nd!

I have done like 500 miles since with no problems at all

Is this just a water pump problem?
YOU KNOW WHEN YOU START SOMETHING

THEN IT BECOMES FRUSTRATING AND EXPENSIVE

AND YOU JUST WANT TO GET TO THE END ! ! !
