Having finally Mr Muscle'd the turbo last weekend and finally getting the car out of limp mode, cleared plenum drains and emptied the pond, I was feeling quite pleased with my perfectly functioning Passat.
Que this morning and when I tried to lower the window and collect a parking ticked from the machine it just made some awful crunching sounds and the glass didn't move
So I'm guessing the regulator cable has snapped. I think I can hear the motor spin. I'm going to order a replacement and there's a couple of threads on here explaining how to fit, but I wondered: which is the easiest option - the kits with just the cable and windy bit, or the part that includes the cable already fitted to the metal runners?
