I've a passat 2004 5.5 with a AVF 130 brake engine and a GVS 6 speed box
Plenty of whines out of the bearings in the box just waiting for it to stop.
I have come apon an audi a4 2001 with a 130 brake AWX engine and a FEC 5 speed box
Was Thinking of pulling the FEC box and putting in the the passat
Is there any reason why I shouldn't do this. would ratios be suited to passat etc.
To put the 5 speed into my car
As well as the box would i need to change the Gear selector box cables etc.?
maybe an engine mount?
Could i leave my 240mm flywheel clutch and starter on passat engine or would i have to change this to the flywheel clutch from the Audi? Starter also?
There is mention of a 6mm spacer in the 6 speed whats this for?
Is there different drive shaft length ?
Drive shafts?
