So i just drove 30k round trip to my nearest VW dealer to ask if they could give me some history on my Passat, as that's where the previous owner used to take it for all work on the car.
They were shut.
The foam sound deadening material under the plastic engine cover has desintigrated, and I was wondering if it can be bought separate, or has it got to be the whole cover?
Also, as I have no idea when the timing belt was last changed, can anyone tell me what to ask the dealers to replace as the same time please. I have seen lots of posts on here, but there are differing opinions.
As I have been informed, mine is a 2003, 130AVF diesel. I'm gratefull for all help.
