Tyre choice

Ok so I am pretty sure this has been done before but as technology is always moving on I thought I would ask. My front tyres are budget and came with the car and I don't like them, I plan to change those then do the rear later on. The reason I don't like the budget fronts is the noise and general feel, they don't grip as much as I like and are complete tosh in the wet! The rear tyres are Pirelli but whatever I end up with I will change the rears to match.

So my needs
Long lasting, I do 20k a year
Good in the wet and dry, don't have to be winter tyres though
Fuel efficiency would be a nice to have due to my millage
Finally not too noisy

I've seen Goodyear effecientgrip which seem to fit the bill around the £70 mark.

I used to have Goodyear Eagle NCT5 on my 5 series and they were ok for a runflat but I don't need that on the passat.

Anyone have any other suggestions or experience?
