V71 error and woes

I have a 2001 1.8T AWT saloon and it has the dreaded V71 motor failure.

I am aware this is a dash out problem.

My question is this; My system does not work. Is this because of The V71 Error or should it function?.

The under dash Relay has been changed and if I unplug the two speed wire to the Aircon pressure sensor and bridge 1 and two
the air con fan spins up.

Otherwise, the fan does not move at all.

I have changed the pressure sensor.

So far, no joy... so some advice, particularly from those who have had same problem, would be nice.
