I have a new standard luk clutch and pressure plate and it seams to be holding up to my remap ok at the moment. You will most likley need a new DMF to. I got the whole lot from euro parts for £265 +VAT.

What did you remap it to for it to start slipping?
I suppose it depends on the milage.
All i know is I remapped my PD130 to 176-197bhp (two RR figures), 316lb ft torque, standard clutch and drove most place like my pants where on fire, conditions permitting.
I don't have mechanical sympathy either...

No knowledge of the luk one, but I've come across a few people on another forum (Briskoda) who have gone the Sachs route. Why not pop over to there, find a user called 'devonutopia' - he's got a severely modified PD130, he'd be the ideal "technical consultant".

Im with Chimp on this. I replaced my clutch, duel mass flywheel, and pressure plate. Have not had any issues since fitting it.

My clutch didint slip until it was remapped. All good now though.

price varies from about £600 up to like £1100 inc parts i have heard. i took matters into my own hands with the guidance of Chimp and did it with the help of my mate, took 2 days but saved at least 400 in labour. The parts alone cost me £400 and that was all at trade! made by LUK - excellent stuff
