Hi guys - My airbag light in my B5.5 has been on for ages and I finally got a reader onto the car and found out that it's flagging up an airbag control module fault (can't recall the specific code, sorry).
My MOT is due on 16th December....
I plan to fit an aftermarket steering wheel at some point anyway so my light would be illuminated after that but ideally I'd like it to come on with ignition position 1 and then go out after the engine has started.
What I'd like to know is:
1: where IS the airbag control module - so I can check it's not something simple like a wire that's come out
2: Where do I fit the resistor that tells the car there's no issue?
3: is there anything else I haven't thought of/should know about before diving into this?
