Helicoil - rear hub (wheel bolt thread)

All,

Since i bought my B5.5 Passat of the wheel bolt threads has been damaged in the hub.
Its now stripped.

I'm looking to helicoil this (drill out, tap, helicoil)
Has anyone here already done this please and with good results?
There are various kits available to do this - I assume the more expensive ones are the genuine Helicoil types and worth going for.
