2002 passat tdi 130 questions

Post by mbh69 » Wed Sep 24, 2008 8:31 pm

just got me a new car 130 tdi estate sport
now after a browse on here i was wondering which filter would be best ? panal induction etc ?
where around the northwest is best for a remap ?
the egr thing that allard do is it worth it ? and do any other companies sell them as there's a few horror stories on here about allard so don't really want to use them.

cheers peeps and hi to everyone i'm new to this site but not the vw scene ;)

CCCTech are great for Upsolute remaps, everyone who went to previous groupbuy's will testify i'm sure. Simon will even come to you....

Check the link from the title bar Links section.

Think your looking at up to 175bhp from the 130...and maybe even a slight improvement on MPG on top.
I'm tempted for mine, but too skint at the minute

Simon also recommended a Merc MAF that also improved things (or at least he did for my old B5 110 TDI)...

I would stick with a panel filter, I would say go ITG.

As far as the EGR replacmnet pipe they are a good idea but you might want to ask your remapper to disable the EGR incase of fault codes.

Deplanding on milage your clutch might not last that long after a remap. Again depending on milager your inlet manifold may be in need of a clean.

Ring Simon at cctech for an upsolute map, he comes to you takes about and hour and the results are worth it!
