As a few have found recently the control modules on the window regulators for the drivers door (and possibly the others) are not 100% cross compatible throughout the years, fitting the wrong one can result in only the 1 door working correctly, and in the case of the drivers door the rest of the windows and locks won't work with the new module.
So, the other night I went logging with VCDS to see if I could find any coding for the door module that could be changed to allow new modules to work.
Alas I found nothing, no module that I could connect to related to the door modules.
So has anyone found them? Or know if a code can be changed to allow any module to be fitted and coded to work?
I ask as I need a complete replacement for mine as it's slipping on the cogs, both the regulator and drive cog are rounded
To save me having to find the exact one, or even to open the module to find the correct p/n without stripping the door down again would be ace!
Any ideas?
