Longlife Servicing

Post by NToombes »

Hi

Just booked my car into VW for a service as my dash keeps reminding me. Since new its been on a longlife servide regime and decided to keep it going. Was last done some 18000 miles ago, or 17 months. They have quoted me £280 as its a "big one" (60000 miles). What do they do on this service for that? Its a 130TDi 04 plate.

Also the front CV boot split on friday and dumped all my grease out over the inner wheel and associates metalwork. £166 to do that. I know its probably alot of money but dont have time to do it myself, going on holiday and need the car on friday, nor the tools so geting it done tomorrow. Not driven much since the boot went (probably less that 50 miles) so hopefully the joint is OK, looks very greasy still.

Neil
