Over the past month I've had a couple of days changing control arms.
Aside from noticing a definite improvement in the handling I wanted to say,
For the lower rear arms, the first one I did a while ago via the lowered subframe route, today I did the other side by chopping the bolt in half with an angle grinder to remove it, fitting the arm and feeding the new (supplied) bolt from the opposite direction.
I definitely prefer the second method,
Means I was tightening the nut (as opposed to the bolt) when reassembling, took less effort (no one levering the subframe down etc), no subframe alignment worries or bolts to replace.. Also didn't take any longer.
The only negative is just the need to use some care when you chop the bolt, to miss the pipes nearby but it's not difficult.
All in all, a good day
Finished changing my control arms today
