Rear window stopped working

Rear window stopped working
Went to put the rear , near side window down yesterday and hear a crack like plastic breaking , now you can hear the motor running but no window movement . Having never had the door cards off I have no idea what is behind there but I assume there is a plastic connection between the window and carrier or the carrier itself is plastic . Can anyone elnlighten me ?
No matter how far you push the envelope it will still be stationary !
