NOW SERIOUSLY Bad Misfire

Post by Len »

Car developed a bad misfire after standing with engine running. (1.8T)
Was only a short local trip and was fine when engine cold.
Felt like one cylinder not firing, but would recover itself at higher revs.
Also sonded like a diesel all the time!

No the coil packs are fairly new, about a year ago, spark plugs were changed 2 years ago.
So I may have a look at the plugs.
What else should I look for first? A vacuum hose?

Or it could just be the damp getting in during this wet weather.
