V71 Air Flow Flap Positioning Motor

Anybody here replaced one? Any tips or advise would help, i've read that some people have managed to do it without removing the whole dash but not into any further detail. I've used vag-com to reset default values but its definatly the motor.

And the part itself is £88 from my local dealer, any cheaper way of obtaining it? I wont stick in a second hand one because they appear to be prone to failure, part number 1J2907511A
