1.8T has done 117,000 miles....so, how long do turbos tend to last on this engine and how many miles do people get out of these cars before the engines start to give trouble? Do they tend to smoke and need valve stem seals or anything like that, ie. like my wifes 205 GTI 1.9 !! I see there arent too many for sale on Autotrader with more than 130-140K miles on them, so does this indicate the rough shelf life...
Interested to hear your thoughts, as Im being tempted to the dark side -BMW 528i - an older car I know, but one ive always fancied owning and they're very cheap to buy now..
