Hi all
I have a 52 reg 2Ltr petrol passat and have done the usual pollen filter/water under the passenger side carpet jobs which all now seem ok, however some of the dash and aircon lights would flash on and off when they felt like it. Traced to print burnt out on instrument cluster printed circuit board. Have replaced instrument cluster with an identical one from ebay and lights now work ok but when engine starts it immediately stops and "Immobiliser activated" is displayed on the dash display. Have removed battery for several hours but problem is the same. If I refit the old cluster the car starts and runs ok but with the original intermitant light problem.
I have a working unregistered vagcom but when trying to access the immobiliser section it asks for a pin number and also says I need a registered version.
Can any one help please.
