B5/B5.5 armrests

So, I have a B5 perforated leather interior in my B5.5, got everything apart from the armrest, so currently have the standard B5.5 cloth armrest in which looks a bit out of place:
My question is, will the armrest/console from a B5 fit, like this:
As you can see they are quite different however if the floorpans are the same then I see no reason why the B5 one wouldn't fit - can anyone confirm if this is the case?
