Breather Pipe Size

Just fitted a oil catch tank and found a excelent place to mount it but now i need to know the pipe diamater so i can order the pipe work
Also can some explain to me how to fit the pipework or anyone fitted the catch can as all i have literally done is to mount the tank next to the power steering resevoir
