Advice needed thinking of getting rid of my B5.5 (Updated)

Hi Guys..

Well the time has come...
My 2002 ".0s is coming up to 60k, it needs a services, cambelt and waterpump change, Temp gauge and radiator were replaced 4 months ago but still the gauge struggles to get to 90 degrees.
It also needs 4 new tires and on occasions the Air con plays up...

So


Wfe has offered to help me finance a new ish car, was looking at a golf plus 1.9tdi se for about 11.1/2k.

What should i do. Love my passat but cannot justify spending another 1k on a car thats only worth 3k..

Any ideas???

Well Guys


I went and did it.

Passat has been traded in for a 2006 (56) Jetta 2.0 SE TDI PD 4dr in Platinum grey.

Pick it up on Friday if all goes well.

UK Car 1 previous owner 9k on clock.

They gave me £3100 for mine.

Now all i need to find is a Jetta Mkv Forum that has been as helpfull as you guys.

Will post pics when i have the time at the weekend.
