Just taking my freinds mum to the church this morning as the good old Passat was being used as the wedding car. Driving at a steady 60 along the ringroad I noticed my temperature gauge start to rise rapidly from the mid 90 deg C point to about 2/3rds deflection then it fell straight back to the minimum point and then rose back to the midpoint. This all happened within about 10 seconds max.
I have a 2004 TDi 130.
After my initial worry I wondered if the gauge was rezeroing itself or something like that but I have never expereinced this before.
Any suggestions? Should I be worried?
