lowering my 4motion

hi, not posted much on here since starting

i was wondering about lowering my passat 4motion.
only want to lower it by about 35mm.
the main Q is will this affect me towing????

i mainly got the car for towing as i race in the VWDRC at santa pod and shakey.

please help me in my hour of need
