Bit of blue smoke at idle

Post by camturbo »

Morning all,i couldn't really find the answer im looking for so i thought i would ask you experts.
I think i know what the problem might be but i just want to confirm.
When my car is started for the first time, everything appears fine, but as it gets to normal temp and on idle, you can see blue smoke, and smells a bit, coming from the exhaust. Its not alot but its there. If im driving normally there doesn't appear to be any smoke,it only appears to be when hot and on idle.
The car does not loose water but does use a touch of oil but not excessive amounts and seems to drive ok. I know for a fact that im not getting full boost and my actuator rattles and has done for some time.
Do you think the smoke issue is turbo related? If i get a new turbo the rattle issue would be fixed, but would that fix the smoke issue?
Any ideas please? Cheers
