Clicking/knocking when turning right ?

Just sorting out all the little faults with the b5 ,just replaced the coolant temp sensor, now the temp is spot on but now im driving it every day i've noticed some sort of ticking/clicking noise when manovering right, gets faster with wheel speed, fine when going left or straight.

Using the search button come up with outer cv joint, am i looking in the right direction ? If so what fails on the joint's?

Also iv'e priced up a new joint around £40 from a local factors , but there asking if possible to know how many splines are on the old joint any ideas?

Model is a - 1.8 20v Sport
