smooth tail gate on estate any body done one on a estate

as the title states i am looking at flushing my number plate and lock etc has anybody done this. As there is the lip near the top and a line near bottom of boot lid.

i dont know wether to just get a plate welded on to cover the number plate hole or to put a sheet up the lip near the top and weld to the lip and then weld round the lip of the boot and flush ole lot getting rid of lines if you get what i mean.

has anybody doe this mod i am not to bothered about the locking etc i can figger that out not a problem
