2am Passat Alarm wake up call.!!!! UPDATED 21st Jan SORTED

Post by TDWEYI »

Guys
Im almost ready to call it a day with this heap of $hite
Got woken up in the early hours by my alarm going off jumped up and reset it then back to bed.....................
1 hour later same again.
Left car unlocked overnight to get a better look in the morning.
What I thought has been confirmed, melted snow /ice flooding in..........
To cut a long story short water in throught the pollen filter housing, CCM not even touched but passenger kick panel plugs soaked. Mopped all the water out then pulled apart all the plugs and dried then cleaned the green $hite off, Plugged in a heater and dried out the loom and the carpet for 5 hours, the CCM is bone dry, now on resetting the alarm it has sat on the drive set for 2 hours........But it has just gone off again (another night with the car unlocked on the street)
Any ideas Chaps??????????
Plenum is clear new dum dum seal on pollen filter housing.
is it possible something behind the glove box is still soaked and leaking voltage (hense alarm sounding).
Your help gents would greately be appreciated ;)
