Rear window squeeaaaking....

ive got the 1997 model which got the green dials(which i hate!) and the manual rear windows and the right side has gone really stiff when trying to pull it up and makes an awful squeaky noise! i had a problem with this door a while back when the door just wouldnt open,i think its what you call a sticky lock(read it on passatworld).

so what do i do,open it up,spray some wd40 down the door?
