I've just had my passenger side suspension in pieces trying to locate the annoying knocking sound that appeared a few weeks ago and has rapidly gotten worse.
I've traced the problem to the lower suspension arm, this one in particular (pic is of Rob C's car not mine)
I had the pinch bolt out with incredible ease (just used a socket on it and managed to twist it free) and I need to replace the upper arms also which I've already done on the drivers side. I was just wondering how easy it was to replace the lower arm as I've not read anything about it anywhere and I have the added issue of I can't fit a socket onto it due to the tight space around it.
Thanks for help and please help me get my passat driving properly again!
