Think My Coilover Shock Is Blown...?

Guys,

A few days ago, my suspension started feeling very hard and lumpy. Roads i knew were smooth suddenly became all uneven and bumpy.

Is this a sign of my shock blown? Its a coilover set up so can it be replaced and if so, does it have to be from the same brand as the coilover itself?

They are TA-Technix coils by the way bought from Phil J off this site. Coils have been in a year and a quarter.
