I was having some issues with my turbo, lacking power & boost etc. this was partly due to a cracked vacuum pipe, but also due to a clogged up EGR valve. My mechanic asked what fuel I used, (diesel from Morrisons), and said that supermarket fuels can sometimes lead to things clogging up a bit quicker.. My car is 10 years old this year so in the grander scheme of things I thinks it's done pretty well, but it got me thinking:
Does fuel choice really make that much difference?
Should I be using an additive with every tank full to prevent blockages?
Does using 2-stroke in fuel make as much difference as everyone says? And if so, how much per full tank?
Ta, Bob.
