Replace cutch without DMF repacement?

Post by Norfolk 'n Good »

Considering replacing clutch with a LUK kit without the flywheel. Clutch operation is absolutley fine in every other way apart from slipping under heavy load. No judder pulling away, no nasty clutch related noises etc.
Is there any real point in replacing a flywheel when it appears to be working as it should? Or can the DMF itself result in clutch slip if it's on it's way out?
Car has 180k on the clock and I guess theres plenty of DMFs with a lot more miles than that on them.
Anyone done this and how did it work out?
Cheers!
