Anybody had one fitted lately? Out 2004 awx estate needs a replacement.

I know euros and GSF sell most of it if your adept at fitting it at home. Not a bad job on the 1.9 depending which bit you need to do.

Remarkably rare for exhaust to fail other than flexi! Estate and saloon the same afaik!

As above rare to fail as well built with good materials .

I think it is the first instance I've heard about (on here) of a B5.5 TDI exhaust itself failing. The flexies up front fail though.

Diesel exhaust gases apparently are dry hence nothing to rot it out from inside.

I wonder if ad-blue modern diesels will suffer more?

has it holed? because its double skined the bottom was hanging on my old estate i cut it off a few years ago lol now done 310K still on original exhaust bar the flexi as it was torn.
