Was doing a service on my passat 2000 b5 tdi 115pd and no matter what i try i can't budge the oil filter i bought a laser tool from halfords 76mm 14 flutes but when i put this on top of the plastic theres a nipple that sticks up which when you put the wrench through the wrench its this and then the tool cant grip against the filter housing or vise versa the wrench can't grip the tool.
I tried to use the tool with a chain filter puller on but this didn't work also the tool that looks like a claw that tightens and that wouldn't budge it i think at some point its been over tightened too much maybe with an air gun.
Has anyone got any ideas i tried wd40 no good the only thing i can think of is to cut it off but i don't wanna risk plastic dropping into the engine.
