1.9 tdi electric fan conversion anyone??

Hi, I have a problem with the viscous fan pulley bearing that is situated in my alloy housing, I am unable to remove it due to rounded bolts and rust. Somebody has been on before looking at it and its going to be an impossible task to remedy without serious time and work. The car is a cheap motor and simply isnt worth it, although it drives good. So..... Whats the chances of another belt re-routed to miss out the viscous fan and then wire up an electric type with sensor in the top hose?? Thanks in advance guys/girls
