Hello all.Im a newbie here,ive got a 99 1.8t not sure what the engine code is. There is no smoke coming out from anywhere but ive been told that my turbo could be failing. Had the car for over a year but it doesn't seem overly quick. When you rev it there is what i can descibe as a sort of rattle(metal) sort of sound. Sounds like the exhaust is hitting but its not. Ive been told it could be the bearings in the turbo on the way out,now surely if that was the case it would of gone by now. Also could it be the wastegate sticking or can someone come up with any other ideas.
I haven't had the car vagcom yet,didnt think it would need doing and didnt think it would show up any codes.
Any help would be much appreciated cheers.
