Alloy wheel advice for our B5 Estate.

Post by alpenweiss2 »

Couple of months back we picked up a lovely Pacific blue B5 110TDI SE Estate. The car has full service history and has been well looked after! Unfortunately it came with 15" steel wheels and horrible VW plastic wheel trims

I have a spare set of Audi alloys in the shed and they are a bit different to the normal alloys you see on a Passat. They are in pretty good nick but i was thinking of getting them painted/powder coated satin black or Gunmetal.

Here's a photo of one of the alloys next to the car:-

They are 16" with Grey Audi centre caps. Would I need new bolts to replace the ones that hold the steels on?

Also what would be the best tyres to run so the speedo is not messed up? Current ones are 195-70-15's I think!

Any thought on these alloys and the best colour?

Cheers Alpenweiss2
