Saw the car on Autotrader and it seems a bargain at a price of under a grand! I was planning on spending more on a newer B5.5 130 Sport but this car seems a steal at under a grand?
It is a B5 Passat 1.9 TDI 110BHP SE Estate (S reg). It has only done 129K miles and has service history, 11 months MOT and 4 months tax. It is a lovely bright metallic blue. Only two owners from new. Has only covered about 2000 miles since the last service in July 2013. Seem to be a very well to do family that own it? The car has electric windows, climate control, but no alloys
Being a 1999 car what engine will it have the AHU, AFN or will it be a PD?
We're not expecting it to be fast, but have read that these cars can be chipped to give a bit more oomph? The main thing is the reliability and load lugging ability.
What sort of stuff should I be looking out for when we go to see it on Sunday?
