Vacuum pipes/hoses

Hi, just wondering, would I be right in purchasing 3 and 5 mm vacuum pipes to change the old ones on the car? Some have nearly worn through and there 10 years old.

B5.5 TDI

I looked through older posts but not 100% sure. Some people mention 3.5mm for everything.
