Changed rear discs and pads but now handbrake requires adj..

As per the title....

I recently changed the rear discs and pads on my passat, but now the handbrake requires lifting to its limits to hold the car well.

The handbrake holds, but give the car a nudge, or even getting in and out of the vehicle, you can hear that there is slight give and movement at the brakes.

Does anyone have any how to, or instructions (with pics would be great !) on how to correctly adjsut the handbrake ?
