I know this subject has been raised 100's of times before. But im still none the wiser as to which way to go.
I have a 53 plate estate which looks like it ready to go off-roading by the arch gaps, hence it needs to be dropped.
However ....it is a daily driver so the drop cant be to harsh. And Air ride is way outta price range.
So I was wondering if you guys can answer these questions for me...
1, What is a decent drop without it being to unuseable.
2, Recent Q's talk about lowering springs.Is it ok just to change the spring and keep standard shocks or should they be changed at the same time.
3, Others have talked about coil overs, are they to harsh, should the cheap ebay versions be avoided.
4, Can you recomend brands/ combinations.
5, Are there any other thing that need to be considered...ie bushes, mounts, or even additional work.
I guess in a way im looking for a tried and tested route but going the bum about way of asking
