Long drive then car wont start for 5-10 mins

i would love some guidance about an issue with my b3 - after a long drive maybe 2-3 hours without missing a beat...when i stop car the car and turn off ignition, the car wont restart /turnover again within a few minutes of me trying to turn on ignition.
I dont have issue on short trips...but after a linger trip i might have to wait 5-10 mins then car starts fine without issue.
I have changed HT leads but that has not changed a thing.
Any idea what problem might be?
