Vr6 conversion help

Hi Guys,
Some help needed.
I'm going to replace the original 1800cc in my 1989 b3 Passat with a 2.8vr6 from a 1996 mk3 golf. I've bought the donor car which is complete.
Could anyone tell me what I'll need from the golf and what else would I have to get in order to complete the conversion. Could I use the existing gearbox and drive shafts?
Has anyone else done this and in what order would you suggest the transfer is done.
